Literacy: Examples of good practices for the learners’ self-determination

Entitled “Literacy: Examples of good practices for the learners’ self-determination”, this second trainers workshop will give trainers an opportunity to discover and test pedagogical practices for the learners’ self-determination, most of them presented by Eur-Alpha partners .

AEFTI-EF 71, member of the AEFTI network, will welcome us in Mâcon, a charming city in the Burgundy region.

Public invited

Trainers in the field of literacy and numeracy interested in gaining skills to promote the self-determination of learners.

Motivations

  • Get familiarized with good practices that give a predominant place to the voicing of opinion, active participation and self-determination of learners.
  • Promote meeting and exchanges of views at the European level to develop the quality of literacy in Europe.

Competences required

Knowledge of French or English is mandatory and knowledge of the other language is highly recommended. Indeed, most of the workshops will be unilingual (French or English). Written support and a general description of the workshop will be available in the other language. Participation to each and every workshop is required.

  • Financing:
    • In possession of your proof of pre-registration, ask a Grundtvig grant (In-service Training) to your national agency before 29 April 2011. The training course will be available on the Grundtvig In-service training database .
    • It’s always possible to pay for the training yourself or ask a contribution from your employer.

Costs

  • Registration fee: 400 euros
  • Accommodation and meals: 800 euros (AEFTI takes care of the reservation)
  • Travel: you take care of the reservation

In case of Grundtvig financing, the grant covers the registration fee, travel costs, accommodation and meals.
